Philosophy and Methodology

Inside out early intervention

Inside Out, Inc. utilizes applied behavioral analysis to teach or “shape” desired behaviors while reducing undesirable behaviors.

Each program is individually designed and may incorporate components of other methodologies such as TEACCH, floor time, PECS, RDI or sign language to meet the needs of each child.

We teach in small, sequential steps to ensure success. We believe that learning should be a positive experience. This is our guiding principle when we are teaching our clients and while training new therapists in our methods.

Inside Out considers family involvement a key component to the success of the client’s program. The families are trained in behavioral techniques and are an important part of the treatment team.

In addition, Inside Out provides consultation and training services to Local Education Agencies and individuals, as well as, classroom support, and curriculum development, planning, and staff support.

Client Admission Criteria

Clients meet initial admission eligibility if the following conditions are met:

Inside Out Early Intervention’s approach is very “hands-on and interactive”.

The best candidates for our program include families that have researched the intensive behavioral approach and have a clear understanding of the time and commitment necessary to maintain a successful program.

Consistency among parents and team members during both session time and non-session time is most favorable for the program’s ultimate success.

In addition, children who score in the normal range of non-verbal intelligence, display some imitative and exploratory play skills, lack excessive perseverative behaviors, and demonstrate periodic verbalizations make good candidates for our model.
